The Body Systems

Francis Howell High School PE Department

Introduction

Welcome to the virtual tour of the human body!  You will join a team of scientists to become an expert on one human body system.  You will be learning about the functions, systems, disease, and proper care of the human body.  In addition, you will learn about what diseases affect your specific system and how proper nutrition and exercise can keep your system healthy!

Horizontal Divider 1

  Task

Step 1:
Students will be placed in groups of 4-5 and will be assigned one human body system to research.  Upon completion of the research, your group will need to create a brochure that highlights your research findings.

Step 2:
Read the specific objectives that you must answer regarding your assigned body system.

Step 3:
Vocabulary to be included in brochure:  You must use all the vocabulary words listed when answering the objectives for your system.  DO NOT WRITE A LIST OF DEFINITIONS!

Step 4:
Decide within your group who will be responsible for addressing each of the objectives listed.

Step 5:
You will be given time in the writing lab to research and create one brochure for your group.
